If lacking in inspiration, sometimes you just need to get started •

At times, I will have artist's block for any number of my interests. But for writing for example, nothing beats setting the ambiance for a great writing session: like, calming music, no distracting noises and images, phone set on do not disturb — a general background and atmosphere of tranquility. And then sitting myself in front of a desk with pen and paper (or keyboard), and... allowing any thoughts, feelings, ideas, memories, to express themselves on the medium I have chosen. Sometimes, I do not initially like what I have written, but the point of it all is the writing.

The spirit of artistry and writing does not always draw us in, compelling us to write and express it lest we lose the lyric forever — sometimes we have to set the atmosphere to call upon it. Nevertheless, with enough patience and intention, it will come. •
