Poetry, One For All.
About the Publisher…
My name is Aisha T. Abdul-Haqq, and I am a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. I began writing poetry at the age of ten, and this passion eventually led me to establish my own publishing company to share my work with the world.
My first book, Four Years in Chrysalis, is a coming-of-age poetry collection spanning four years (2010–2014). It explores themes of grief, loss, heartbreak, and the concurrent journey of emotional growth. The book concludes with a resolve formed out of necessity: to dedicate oneself to the greater good.
The second book, Acres of Shadow, was written over two years (2015–2016) and is shared as a source of support for those grappling with mental health challenges, as well as their loved ones. Its deepest message is about the vital act of self-preservation in the face of suicidal ideation—the internal struggle between the urge to die and the will to live. This work guides readers through the path of recovery, offering reflections on the past alongside contemplative musings for the reader's enjoyment.
Ether & Toil, my forthcoming poetry collection, will be published soon. Its first poem was written in 2017, and it serves as the third installment in this timeline of growth, starting with the pupil state (Four Years in Chrysalis), moving to the imago state of emergence (Acres of Shadow), and culminating in first flight (Ether & Toil). More details will be shared as the publication date approaches.
My interests span public policy, education, poetry, music, and fashion—not necessarily in that order.
My life’s work is dedicated to easing the pain of others, grounded in the understanding that suffering transcends all human experience. Every endeavor you see on this site is undertaken with this ideal as its ultimate goal. Through my work, I hope to add light, offer respite, and, whenever possible, inspire personal growth.
