I am sitting on the chair, the stars belittle me their silence...

I am sitting on the chair
The stars belittle me their silence
I am confounded by their noise
And all together here erupting from a sea of adventures
Not unlike past mistakes
But future pressing
The weight is aggravating
My own tongue tied
But loose for the adventure here
Unknown is the “The Way”
Unthought-of is all things
Just the cold and my blood weigh here
Mingling
And the ever varied voice of the chronic future
Whistles its seductive tune into my ear •

We spend more time deceased than we do alive. And most of us spend this living time, not actually living. We numb our minds with alcohol and television. We procrastinate on important matters. We avoid the difficult encounters.

Instead, take it all in and sit with your emotions and thoughts in the moment. You will learn much about yourself when you are sitting still with no distractions. This is called meditation.

The cool thing is that after you have learned who you are, you can spend your living time improving yourself, adding to your bank of knowledge, and investing in memorable moments.

Who wants to look back on their death bed and realize that the most fun they ever had was watching seasons of the sitcom "Friends"? No one does.

Live a life worth remembering. •
