If you should want to die, then...
If you should want to die
Then die
History has shared with me wait one more day, though
Until I choke on wires
Or until I am full with medication
The gentle tug of death to be so grateful for
Wait one more day
As life is too heavy in series of moments
And relaxing beneath the weight gives way to crushing
And an exit seems all too smooth
I tell myself
Be gentle in passing
As life itself is gently crushing as it passes
Defiantly to death I say these words: life is gently crushing as it passes
Shaping you into a thing you have never before seen
And maybe there is joy to be found in reshaping •
The pain may transcend every ounce of self-love you obtain. In these moments, I give myself patience. Time for perspective. Wait one more day. The pressure of life is reshaping you into a person you have always wished to be... Reshaping you into someone who is much stronger than previous selves. Remember - pressure creates diamonds. And you are a diamond. Wait one more day.
